SecureByteGuide publishes digital-safety information and browser-based checklists. You can read the site without creating an account. This policy describes information that may be processed when you visit securebyteguide.org.

Information processed during a visit

Hosting and security providers may process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, time, response status, and security signals. This data is used to deliver pages, prevent abuse, diagnose faults, and understand aggregate traffic. We do not ask readers to submit passwords, recovery codes, authentication seeds, or other account secrets.

The security checklist calculates a result from choices made in the browser and does not require an account. Do not enter confidential account details into a checklist or contact message. Browser storage may retain preferences on your device; you can clear it through browser settings.

Analytics, advertising, and external links

Analytics may be used to measure aggregate site use. If advertising is activated, Google AdSense and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies and consent requirements. External and affiliate links take you to another operator, whose privacy terms apply. See the Cookie Policy and Affiliate Disclosure.

Retention and sharing

Operational logs are retained only as reasonably needed for security, troubleshooting, legal compliance, and service administration. Service providers may process limited information on our behalf. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and service integrity. SecureByteGuide does not sell a reader-submitted contact message as a data product.
